Click the PAGES label to take you to a full list of pages within your site. Pages are listed by title, rather than the slug.

The search field could also be used to find a page. This is available on the page list, found above the page names. A search trawls both page titles and page content.

Changing text on a WordPress page

After clicking the title of the page you are taken to the WordPress page text editor.

The page title is displayed at the top in it’s own individual field. The content of your page, which may contain paragraphs, is in a larger box underneath.

Changing text here is similar to using WORD.

Using your mouse place the cursor where you want to edit then start to type, or delete words that you no longer need.

Save your work each time by clicking the blue UPDATE button on the right hand side. This also makes the change public. The update button is circled red on the image below.

Updating and Saving a WordPress Page

Always check your edits on the front end of the website. Navigate to the page. Hit F5 to refresh, as your browser may of cached the old page.

WordPress changes not showing up

There are a few reasons WordPress changes may not show up. Check the following:

Have you edited the right page?

Did you press UPDATE?

Are you looking at the correct page in the front end?

Have you pressed F5 when viewing the front end of the site?

Your ISP may be caching old pages, wait an hour.
